Slow Progress is Still Progress--Moving Forward

Slow progress is still progress...moving forward...

I need to remind myself of that a little more often these days.

I've always struggled with self-discipline. I might be one of those people who needs someone to be accountable to. Today, I made a decision. I need to set small goals. I need to keep moving forward.

For my better half. We're not getting any younger.

I need him to celebrate a book release with me, to comprehend that it's happening.

The clock is ticking.

Here's a goal. By the end of July, I'll have Mailchimp integrated into a blog.

Deep breath. *laughing*  I am technologically challenged, but here I go.

Reworked blurb. I feel like the tagline (the first line) is much too generic.  The first step is recognizing that, right?

Sometimes the simplest plan doesn’t turn out so simple…

After losing everything, Emmily has a plan: move to the mountains and never ever fall in love again.

But everything goes sideways when a UFO crash-lands on the ridge next to hers, and on a desolate road, she’s waylaid by men demanding help for their injured friend.

Fleeing an ambush meant to kill him, Gen Rael is gravely injured when his ship crashes on Earth. The human woman his crew captures to aid them is a problem—a distraction. That’s the last thing his hindered mission can afford. But this Emmily woman is cutting through the steel wall he keeps around his heart.
Despite being their hostage, Emmily isn’t blind to the peril they’re in. There’s a threat coming from the stars, and it’s lethal to all of them, including her.
And her simple plan to never-ever fall in love again? Looks like that’s in peril too…

Toying with something like "The last thing they want--each other--is  the thing they need most."

Still pretty generic, huh? :-)

I'll get there.

Newly divorced Emmily, a remote cabin in the mountains, a crash-landed alien. What could go wrong?

Okay, that's it for this tonight.

Edit 6-28
